South Cards Cup - Maesglas Res 3 v 1 Ffostrasol Res

Maesglas reserves rung the changes after a shambles of mis-organising for the no show to Aberaeron last Saturday, Huw Blaenwaun Davies took control for this game along with Matt Smith and between the pair of them set up a side who if are all available week in week out will hopefully see them get out of trouble, but this game was all about gaining stability and to get the team focused, and although this game was a cup match it showed that a game can be played and won in style and this is what the home side achieved, a good pre match warm up with plenty of chat on how to approach this game was adhered too, and the Blues dominated the whole game and even though the scoreline shows a comfortable score, being critical it should have been a lot more. The goal scorers were the two Llyrs, Price and Jones and the other a rasper from Shane Lumberg. One or two players will be disappointed as a squad of 17 players turned out, but the question you have to ask is where were they the week before! The reserves tackle a tough one next Saturday in the Percy Eldridge cup an away tie to Saints, let’s hope the game ends in good spirit this time!!
